Transgender Extremists Are Killing Christians

Some in the LGBTQ+ Community have come out of the closet and entered the killing fields.

Editor’s Note: Between the time this was written and posted, Tyler Robinson allegedly assassinated Christian Charlie Kirk, Turning Point USA leader. The FBI confirmed that Tyler Robinson, 22, was in a “romantic relationship” with the unnamed person, who is a male transitioning to a female, and that they shared an apartment in St. George, Utah. The trans relationship, and the political viewpoint it engendered, is being explored as a motive for the killing.

In recent years, the ideological spectrum of extremism has broadened in unsettling ways. While much media attention has historically focused on far-right groups, there is an emerging pattern of violence and radicalism from groups that identify with far-left hate group ideologies.

One such group is the “Zizians,” a self-described transgender-rights, vegan, anti-government collective recently linked to six killings across three states, according to an Associated Press report.

The case involving Teresa Youngblut has brought this group to national attention, raising questions about the nature of Zizian beliefs and their impact on individuals and society.

Many try to mitigate or justify trans hate crimes. Still, their violence against Christians is just as bad as violence against LGBTQ+ people by the general population, and neither should be tolerated. Nevertheless, we see the recent escalation of trans violence against Christians. Examples:

  • In June 2022, Maeve Nota, a trans man, was accused of vandalizing a Catholic church in Bellevue, Washington, with graffiti that included anti-Catholic and anti-LBGTQ+ slurs.
  • In January 2023, Cameron David Storer, a trans woman, was charged with arson after setting a fire at a 117-year-old church in Portland, Oregon.
  • On March 27, 2023, Audrey Hale, a trans person, killed three children and three adults at the Covenant School, a Presbyterian institution.
  • On August 27, 2025, Robin Westman opened fire at the Annunciation Catholic Church and school, killing two people and injuring 17. Westman, who identified as trans, left behind anti-Christian messages, according to news reports.

Can these be excused as cases of mental illness? Not when the hate and violence are triggered by the same aberrant source. It may be a reflection of the faulty brain chemistry endemic to those with gender dysphoria or other sexual confusion. More medical research is needed in this area.

However, it is a fact that transsexual people are expanding their hate campaigns against Christians.

All Christians should pray for help to relieve the bondage of “trans” people. Christians should care deeply for trans people and want to help. But we can do that without being drawn into their delusional thinking, which they have parlayed into a “civil right.”

DNA science supports the idea (as does the Bible – Genesis 1:27) that people are born either male or female. Any notion of “switching” is a probable mental aberration. Political ideology or emotional hysteria should not muddy reality.

The LGBTQ+ community is likely to say that Christians deserve gay retribution.

But trans violence is deeper than that. All humans have a conscience, and when they break the laws of God and man, they often become violent against themselves from anguish, or others in an orgy of self-justification.

They seldom reflect on the possibility if being personally accountable. They seem to only find solace in blaming others for what appears to be a convoluted mental state.

Understanding the Zizian Ideology: A Modern Fusion of Extremes

What makes the Zizian movement particularly disturbing is its combination of utopian rhetoric with militant resistance, anarchism, and a complete rejection of traditional social institutions, including family, religion, and government.

Many news organizations are downplaying the fact that it is a trans movement, even though it is a primary factor in their manifesto. News people seem to be emphasizing the vegan aspect, as if that were the particular belief that was driving their anti-Christian violence that appears to be spreading among trans people.

Yet, these are not simply fringe protesters. According to law enforcement briefings and public records, Zizian adherents actively recruit vulnerable individuals, encourage complete detachment from society, and promote violence as a valid form of resistance.

The Christian response to such a movement must go beyond platitudes. It requires biblical clarity, spiritual discernment, and practical action rooted in truth. It is a spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:12).

The Zizian ideology is difficult to categorize neatly because it merges various radical ideologies—militant transsexual gender advocacy, vegan eco-activism, anti-capitalist anarchism, and anti-government rhetoric.

At its core, however, Zizianism is a rebellion against the created order—socially, morally, and spiritually. It is the organized extension of emerging anti-Christian hate and violence.

Rejection of Authority: The Drive Toward Anarchy

Zizians espouse a deep distrust of all forms of institutional authority—government, law enforcement, the church, and even the traditional family. Their literature and social media reflect a worldview that sees all hierarchical systems as inherently oppressive and in need of dismantling.

While critiques of government overreach or institutional corruption can be valid, the Zizian approach advocates for a complete societal overhaul. Romans 13:1-2 speaks directly to this issue: “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.”

Authority, when functioning justly, is a God-ordained mechanism for societal order. An ideology that seeks to remove all governance will only produce chaos, and chaos breeds violence.

In real-life examples, some Zizian adherents have established self-governed communes where outsiders are barred entry, weapons are stockpiled, and children are taught to distrust anyone outside the ideology. The lack of accountability creates fertile ground for manipulation, abuse, and radicalization.

Trans-Rights as a Platform for Extremism

While advocacy for transgender rights has gained mainstream momentum in recent years, Zizianism distorts this further by insisting that non-conformity to their views is not merely disagreement but oppression deserving of retaliation.

Their ideology elevates subjective identity over objective reality, insisting that any resistance to self-declared identity is an act of violence.

This leads to a dangerous form of moral relativism. Proverbs 14:12 warns, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” When feelings become the ultimate authority, truth becomes negotiable. And when truth is negotiable, justice and peace become impossible.

Numerous case studies have documented how disillusioned youth—especially those struggling with gender identity—have been pulled into Zizian networks online, promised love and acceptance, then radicalized to view parents, churches, and traditional communities as enemies.

From Advocacy to Criminality

The Zizians see activism not as a means of dialogue, but as a battlefield. This is where they transition from radical rhetoric to actual threats. Law enforcement agencies in Oregon, Colorado, and Washington have linked Zizian cells to incidents of sabotage, arson, and even targeted killings of individuals they deemed “fascist collaborators.”

This mirrors the warning in Psalm 36:1-4: “Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart…He plots trouble while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not reject evil.” The heart that ceases to revere God will eventually accept violence as virtue.

Zizianism is not just an ideology—it’s a rejection of God’s design for order, truth, and peace. When identity becomes god and authority becomes evil, destruction follows.

Why Zizianism Is a Growing Threat to Society

Although numerically smaller than some extremist factions, Zizianism is disproportionately dangerous due to its strategic use of social media, psychological targeting, and decentralized structure.

Vulnerability as a Recruitment Tool

Zizian recruiters often look for emotionally or socially vulnerable individuals—those experiencing trauma, isolation, or identity confusion. With promises of radical acceptance and belonging, they exploit the very real longing of people to be seen, known, and loved.

This should not surprise us. 2 Timothy 3:6-7 warns of false teachers who “creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.”

The enemy doesn’t need a majority—Evil just needs the broken and the lost, and transgender-based Zizianism has created an open door.

A 2022 study by the Center for Strategic and International Studies found that non-state, ideologically-driven domestic terrorism is increasingly decentralized and frequently begins online and ends in violence offline. This perfectly describes the Zizian model.

Ideological Decentralization Makes Policing Difficult

Unlike structured hate groups, the Zizians have no central leader. Instead, they operate through encrypted networks, social media forums, and hidden communes. Each cell interprets the ideology in its own way, making it difficult for law enforcement to predict or interdict their activity.

This reflects the biblical concept that “each did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 21:25). When ideology is decentralized and untethered from moral law, it becomes a breeding ground for spontaneous violence.

One case involved a former college student from Montana, who, after months of online involvement with Zizian forums, participated in the firebombing of a police precinct—an act celebrated within the group as “freedom work.” The young man had no prior criminal record.

Undermining the Foundations of Civil Society

At the heart of trans-empowered Zizianism is a desire to destroy, not to reform. Whether it’s erasing all gender distinctions and attacking those who disagree, defunding police, abolishing prisons, dismantling the nuclear family, or the Zizians are not offering a better world—they are seeking to burn down the one we have.

This is not a political issue; it is a spiritual one. Psalm 11:3 asks, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Zizianism threatens the very foundations—truth, order, justice, and dignity—that hold civil society together.

Zizianism thrives in the shadows of disillusionment. It offers counterfeit community, counterfeit justice, and ultimately, a counterfeit hope. It is the antithesis of the Christian faith.

A Practical Christian Response

Christians cannot ignore the rise of extremist ideologies just because they don’t wear traditional uniforms or wave well-known flags. We also cannot fight fire with fire.

Our weapons are not political rage or cultural panic. We cannot capitulate to the irrationality of gender dysphoria to seek peace. We must use Christ-honoring methods. 2 Corinthians 10:4 reminds us, “For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.”

1. Rebuild True Community and Belonging

The local church must be more than a place to hear sermons—it must be a place to belong. Zizianism thrives in environments of isolation and rejection. When the church reflects the radical hospitality of Jesus, it disarms extremism at its root.

Romans 15:7 tells us, “Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” That kind of radical welcome can prevent a lonely teenager from falling into the hands of a digital extremist cult.

This means youth mentoring programs, family dinners, open-door ministries, and a culture of inclusion—not the kind that affirms sin, but the kind that welcomes sinners to a place of healing.

2. Teach Identity as a Gift, Not a Self-Construct

Zizian ideology teaches that you are whoever you claim to be. The gospel teaches that you are who God created you to be. These are fundamentally opposed. The solution is not to mock, but to offer truth compassionately and clearly.

Genesis 1:27 says we are made “in the image of God.” That identity is a gift, not a burden. Young people are desperate for identity today. The church must not merely oppose lies—we must proclaim truth: that every person is known and valued by the Creator.

In practical terms, this means discipleship that addresses hard questions—about gender, sexuality, purpose, and suffering. It means creating spaces for open, honest dialogue, led by mentors who are familiar with both scripture and personal struggle.

3. Live with Bold Faith and Watchful Eyes

Paul warns believers to “pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16). Christians must be discerning, engaged, and vigilant.

Parents need to know what’s happening on their children’s devices. Churches need to train their members to recognize signs of radicalization and know when to involve the authorities. Communities must collaborate with both spiritual and civic institutions to address emerging threats.

We simply cannot allow the trans and other sexual extremists to indoctrinate, capture, or kill Christian young people, as they have been doing. Local churches must be a beacon of belonging, a lighthouse of truth, and a fortress of wisdom in a culture drowning in confusion.

Bold faith does not mean alarmism. It means informed, gospel-centered engagement. We are not called to retreat, panic, or fight culture wars with culture weapons. We are called to live the gospel in full view—loving boldly, thinking wisely, and standing firm.
